Aimee is originally from the USA and relocated to Melbourne in 2018 after graduating from The University of the Arts with a BFA in Theater. While studying to be a classical ballerina at The University of The Arts and Pennsylvania Ballet, Aimee suffered a hip injury, and during the course of her rehab she found classical Pilates.
She loved the precision and flow of the exercises and was thrilled that it helped her return to her normal active life and extend her ballet career. Her experience was so positive that Aimee decided to become an instructor in the hope of helping others. She is passionate about Pilates and it's benefits in strengthening the body through an injury.
In 2021 Aimee certified as a Romana’s Pilates International Level IV Instructor. This course involved 600+ hours of observation, teaching, self-practice, and lesson taking. She is certified to teach on all Pilates apparatus including: Reformer, Cadillac, Mat, Wunda Chair, Baby Chair, and more. Aimee loves teaching Mat Pilates as it offers a great deal of variety. She also finds it to be one of the most challenging apparatus.
Pilates has allowed Aimee to meet interesting people and see the immense benefits of this work. She is very passionate about helping people feel their best – physically and mentally. She also loves getting to know her clients, their stories and history. One of her favorite Joseph Pilates quotes is: “Change happens through movement and movement heals.†–which she truly believes to be true.
When she's not teaching, you can find her working as an actor, writing, reading a good book, or baking. Her warm energy and friendliness shines through her teaching.
